About YYC
The Yorkshire Youth Choir was formed in 2002 with the help of a grant from Youth Music. The choir has over 100 members who meet twice a year at residential courses at Queen Ethelburga's school in York.
Members not only experience a varied programme of singing tuition from experts in differing genres but also develop socially, making life-long friendships based around music.
Auditions for the YYC are held twice a year and are open to any singers living or studying in Yorkshire aged 10-21 years; we look for singers with potential and enthusiasm as much as experience!
